Thank you to everyone who participated in the sale!
I can't believe how much jewellery we sold (and how much we still have - Ed and I both have a weakness for sparkly things, apparently).
We're getting some new things in this week including:
Strange and exotic stones (Purpurite, Variscite, Mimetite, and Golden Labradorite)
New tumbled stones including, for the very first time, tumbled Kunzite. The pieces are relatively small but of good quality (and only $1 each)
Fairies, some of a new type. We've gotten word from our supplier that they are expecting more to arrive in May and in June. All the Zodiac fairies (some of which have been in backorder for six months or more) should be here then as well as some of the old favourites. Keep your fingers crossed!
Glass suncatcher ornaments - solid coloured glass with images pressed into them while the glass is still hot. Suns, moons, and kitties, oh my...I'm aiming to get them out by the weekend...
And the books. What can I say about the books other than "argh"? Our distributor has been holding onto an order we placed two weeks ago. Last week's order is...somewhere. We've been told that both orders shipped on March 27th. Our distributor appears to have a serious case of biblioconstipation. Hopefully these two orders arrive this week - and then we'll be swimming in books. Well, not literally but you know what I mean...

News flash: it's been pointed out to us that many people don't get paid until Tuesday so as a courtesy, we're going to hold over the sale until 6 pm Tuesday evening! Spread the word!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Though I imagine the only green we're going to see today comes not from the tender shoots of Spring buried deep under our recent snows but from whatever colourful garb people choose to wear today...
So it will be Fireside Chat again on March 27 and Dorothy has graciously volunteered to facilitate the topic "Neo-Paganism as pertains to 19th Century Romantic Literature" (translation: she's found some awesome fairy tales that she's going to re-tell).
Other news...we've got books, books, and more books. Rasa and Sandra are doing an amazing job getting new and exotic titles in!
We are also expecting an order from those strange folks down south and it is to include more figure candles, altar cloths, and other things not available elsewhere.
And fairies. Yes, there should be a fresh batch hatching this week (or whenever Doug the CanPar guy delivers them).
Also, for the last five weeks, we have been bagging and tagging all of our store brand incense (hanging on the slat wall with the white cardboard hangtag). We've done away with the 50 stick packages and also with the 20 stick packages that include the holder. The reasoning is that having three different formats for the same incense sticks is visually confusing, at best. Also, with those packages that include the holder, since each holder is different (I found a "Scorpio"), we figured it would make more sense to sell the holders separately so people could choose the exact one they wanted.
We have discontinued a few of the fragrances (Meditation, Relaxation, Yoga, Yin Yang, Tranquility, Ylang Ylang, and Vetivert) but at the same time we have introduced new ones including:
Sweetgrass,
Astral Travel (smells a lot like "Tranquility" and available in both cone and stick form),
Truth,
Love,
Courage,
Healing,
Blessings,
Psychic Power (which is Lemongrass based),
Anti-Theft (Vetivert based),
Protection (Juniper based),
Purification (Rosemary based)
and Sensuality (which smells great but I haven't yet had a chance to burn one).
We've kept other popular fragrances including:
Dragonsblood,
Frankincense,
Frankincense and Myrrh,
Rain,
Egyptian Musk,
Sage,
Patchouli,
Jasmine,
Nag Champa,
and Sandalwood.
Other news...
Ashterah will be hosting a meditation tomorrow evening (Wednesday March 18) in the Back Room starting, I believe, at 7:30 pm. Everyone is welcome. Please call the Store for more details.

Hello all...
After having requests for it for years, I've (finally!) managed to locate a somewhat reliable source of magnetic sand.
We've got 60 bags currently in stock so if you've got a hungry lodestone...
In other news...Kriket has tentatively commited to facilitating this coming Fireside (March 13). I won't know for certain if she's coming until she confirms...
And thank you to Allison Currie for facilitating the last Fireside. I'm very sorry I couldn't make it - I was in a remote corner of Saskatchewan at the time (actually, all of Saskatchewan's corners are pretty remote when you think about it).
I know there's a bunch of other stuff I should be posting here but it's after 11 pm and I'm tired.
When (if?) I recall what it was I was originally going to blog about, I'll log on and finish. Until then...
