Hello all...

We're in the midst of our year end inventory count up...so please excuse our mess.

The Store isn't that big on the outside but there sure is a lot of stuff on the inside - a point I am always reminded of each year when we have to count every single thing here. We're also entering the last items into the new (well, new-ish) bar code tracking system. It's only taken us 16 months to actually accomplish this.

Entering all the stuff into the database has exposed an interesting phenomenon - the "dog faced" faeries appear to be breeding in dark corners (by parthogenesis, apparently) because although we only have one left, I swear I do not recognize it. I don't recall ever having it, buying it, or counting it in any previous inventory. Either they're mutating, or else someone is playing a cruel joke on us and brought it into the Store when we weren't looking and abandoned it here like an orphan.

Anyhoo...in other news...I managed to tear myself away from inventory for long enough to check out the Beltaine Fair. It warms my heart to see how the Community has pulled together to put on such an amazing event! Kudos to everyone who particpated in that venture. I'm just sad I couldn't stick around long enough to see the May Pole danced (but 3 pm was my bedtime because I've become a creature of the night lately).
