Hello world...
I've posted this on FaceBook and I figure I'll post it here: today we had a $400 citrine geode cathedral shoplifted from the store!
What's goofy is that we got it on camera. You can actually see them picking up the geode and stuffing it into a backpack!
The problem is, it was busy at the time and I didn't think to check the camera records until long after the couple had gone.
But...here are the details:
They were a native couple, young (early twenties is my guess). The woman was of average height and build with long black hair pulled back. She had a big grey backpack. The man was slightly shorter than average with stocky build. He was wearing an orange ball cap. They were both wearing purple hoodies and black jeans. She had white shoes and his were brown.
The theft happened at 12:32 pm today. The geode was citrine, about a foot tall and about 18 inches wide. It was the one that was to your left as you went through the archway. From the way the other geode had been moved, it appears their original target was the larger geode but, unfortunately (!) it was too big to fit into the knapsack.
So here's the message to you two miserable exuses for human beings: WE DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE BUT WE KNOW WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE! EVEN IF WE NEVER CATCH YOU, A HIGHER LAW WILL. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!
Yeah, I'm mad. Can you tell?
Anyway, if you see this couple, be advised that they're thieves. If someone tries to sell you a suspiciously cheap citrine cathedral, it *is* too good to be true. If you wanted to do a good deed, if you see either the geode or this couple, please give us a call at the store at 780 454-0187.
Grrrr....
